Introduction to Game Design (Winter 2022/23)

This course is primarily focused on the basics of game design. Secondarily, we will discuss recent developments in the video game market in relation to game design.

All the lectures and labs will happen physically.



To be able to attend the exam (=receive your course credit), you have to have at least 85 points from the assignments & attendance.

Then, you can get 30 points for the exam.

Grade A 115+         points
Grade B 114 – 106  points
Grade C 105 – 95   points

How to get points?

1) 26 points for your participation on our lectures/seminars

2) up to 75 points for your assignments and developed games


Practical part of this course consist of 10 assignments that we will work on after each class. Their full content will be shared via email after each lecture.


Oral exam for 25 minutes. I will ask you about three concepts from the lectures and labs and we will talk about them + additional related questions
