Ludum Dare 35 @ MFF
Ludum Dare is a competition in development of games, especially computer ones. Anybody can sign up and we compete for honor and fun. Detailed information is available at the competition website Ludum Dare.
As we have a course on Practical Game Development we will be organizing at least one real game jam site every term at MFF UK. And it will the most likely always be a Ludum Dare site!
However, the site is opened for everybody! Everyone who is interested in game development can come and join a group of techy people that will fight through the 48 hours to create a fun game. You can create a game alone or in a team. You can come with a team already formed or find teammates at the site!

ORGANIZATION
Game jam will happen during the weekend 15.–19. 4. 2016. The theme for the game jam will be announced 16.4.2016 03:00 AM (local time), and we will start to think, design and code then. However, the site will be available since 15.4.2016, 04:00 PM (local time). Therefore we will gather between 04:00–05:00 PM (local time) in the S building of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. Event will take place at rooms S8, S9 and in case of big audience S10 as well. If you don’t come in the very beginning, don’t worry, you can join later… in fact, any time you want. Call Jakub Gemrot at +420 724 508 170 when you get to the faculty building, he will let you in.
There are two competition categories: The Compo (solo) and The Jam (teams). The Compo category has deadline 18.4.2016 03:00 AM (local time) and the Jam category 19.4.2016 03:00 AM (local time). Unfortunately, we will have to end the event on Monday 18.4.2016 8:00 AM (local time) due to the teaching; we kindly ask all teams to secure another place for Monday.

We will be entering and leaving the building using the side entrance. You can find it inside the passage at the left side of the building (the same passage you would use to enter the restaurant Profesní dům). Again, call Jakub Gemrot at +420 724 508 170 when you arrive.
We will have Wi-Fi with internet connection prepared as well as a kettle, microwave and shower. You can sleep on the floor if you bring the necessary equipment.
Of course, bring anything you may need for game development (laptop, gamepads, joysticks, cell phones, pencils, papers, scissors, etc.) and also something to eat and drink!
